How much does it cost to rent a motorhome in Paris?+
Each owner near Paris sets their own daily price, which you can see on every listing. Prices vary by vehicle size, season and how long you rent for. At checkout you see the total before you pay — the rental plus DRIVO’s service fee.
How do booking and payment work?+
You book and pay through DRIVO checkout. If the owner has made the vehicle bookable, your booking is confirmed instantly. If not, your card is held — authorised, not charged — as a booking request. When the owner confirms, the booking goes through and your card is charged automatically; you don’t need to do anything else. If the owner declines or doesn’t confirm in time, the hold is released and nothing is charged. Any security deposit is shown on the listing. A few rental-company listings can’t be booked online yet; their page tells you to message them instead.
What about insurance?+
DRIVO does not sell insurance. The owner arranges cover for the rental — check with the owner what it includes, and any excess, before you book, and see what your own policy or a separate hire policy adds.
What do I need to drive a motorhome from Paris?+
A standard car licence covers most motorhomes and campervans up to 3.5 tonnes; larger vehicles may need a higher category. The owner lists the vehicle weight and any requirements, and can tell you what applies to your trip.
Can I rent a campervan or caravan instead?+
Yes. Motorhomes and campervans are drivable; caravans are towable behind your own car. Filter for the type that suits your trip and your licence.
Own a motorhome or campervan?
